Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The room with a four-poster bed was delightful, large, and airy, with a very comfortable bed and lovely views of the garden. The very spacious bathroom was a great bonus. The service was amazing, with staff who were so polite, lovely, and knowledgeable, offering helpful suggestions. The location was good in central Beaminster, perfect for exploring the Jurassic Coast, but it could use a winter tidy-up. The dining experience was a mixed bag, with beautiful food presentations and good quality, but slightly smaller portions. Overall, a great stay with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel's rooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and clean spacious bathrooms, but they felt tired and in need of refurbishment. Our ground floor room beside the kitchen had fans on until 11 pm, which was a bit noisy. The service at the hotel was exceptional; the staff were knowledgeable and offered great suggestions, and the bartender made delicious bespoke cocktails. The location was good in central Beaminster, perfect for walks, but could use some tidying up in the winter. I appreciated the hotel removing charges from our bill due to a poor meal experience. The dining options were superb, with a wide variety of choices, but we had to constantly ask for condiments that were not readily available. The facilities were decent, but the hotel seemed underutilized in the evenings.
